Poecilia Netherlands

I'm affiliated with Poecilia Netherlands. This is the Dutch national society of livebearers. I'm a board member and a member of the editorial board.

This society has set itself the goal of promoting the keeping of livebearers. And in particular to preserve rare wild species of livebearers for the aquarium scene. Poecilia Netherlands also contributes to projects in Mexico. The main focus is reintroduction by re-releasing captive bred specimens of wild livebearer species in endemic areas where the original populations are endangered or where they are already vanished. But also in the research field, Poecilia Netherlands contributes in a serious way.  Poecilia Netherlands supports these projects by Morelia financially.

"This website has been launched for the first time in May 2011"

And first renewed in September 2020.

And secondly renewed in March 2022.
